UPLINX Remote Phone Control for Webex Calling connects to the Webex Calling API to discover and control phones in your organization. Only outbound HTTPS access to `https://webexapis.com/v1` is required.
No direct access to phones, other servers, or on-premise components are required.
MPP Phones
MPP Phones (6800, 7800, 8800 Series) require a Websocket control connection that is initiated from MPP phones to the "MPP Control Server" that is a software component of UPLINX Phone Control Webex. The listening Websocket port and the security protocol (ws or wss) can be specified. For WSS, a public TLS certificate must be supplied and installed. Please see "Enable Control Server". You must open the configured WSS port from MPP phones to the machine running PLINX Phone Control Webex in order to control MPP phones.
