This section lists the Cisco IP phone models that are supported, not supported, and partially supported to remotely control a phone by UPLINX Phone Control Webex.

Supported Cisco Phone Model Series

•PhoneOS based (using xAPI): Cisco Phone Series 9800 (9811, 9841, 9851, 9861, 9871) and 8875

•MPP based phones (using MPP Remote SDK API): Cisco Phone Series 6800, 7800, 8800

Other phone models or video terminals are not supported. Expansion Modules/KEM might be supported in the future if the Cisco API allows it.

Abbreviations

•MPP: Multiplatform Phone Firmware. MPP software is designed for Cisco IP phones to work with third-party call control systems, such as Asterisk and Cisco Webex Calling.

Limitations

MPP Phones do not support any Navigation keys. This is a limitation of the Cisco MPP software.
