The generation of Word reports might encounter an issue if its length is more than 800 pages (depending on available memory and CPU of Windows). Please note that this is not a Report Tool issue but a limitation of Microsoft Word.
There is a problem with large Word reports when:
•The HTML report is verly large containing more than 500 phones, 500 users or 500 device profiles.
•The HTML/CHM report has not been generated properly
•Word report generation fails
•The test Word report does not succeed. A test report can be generated by clicking Test Report Style on the Report Settings tab.
Please follow Troubleshooting Word Report Issues to ensure that Word is configured correctly and to resolve Word issues.
To avoid potential issues with large Word reports, try one of the following steps:
1.Split the report generation into several smaller, partitioned reports by only including some configuration objects in it. For example, instead of a single large report containing everything, generate four separate reports for: (i) Phones; (ii) Users in detailed user mode; (iii) Device Profiles; and (iv) System settings. To include only some configuration objects in a report, select the Generate Report tab and click the silver cog button Report Contents and select the appropriate objects relevant to your particular Cisco server version.
2.Manually partition and format a large HTML report. Generate one large HTML report by disabling automatic Word generation in the options. Manually import the HTML file into the Word template (optional) and split the HTML file before importing it following the steps described in the link below.
